Form Equals Function.

The theory behind my shapes is simplicity.
Simple temples with a combination of modern, high performance tail rockers and bottom contours. A simple design with the right combination of rocker, concave, rail rocker, and volume is going to give you the performance and function you want in a board.

Shapes by Jay Gordon

This is a new short board.

It has moderate to extreme tail rocker with gradual entry rocker. Template wise, the nose is fuller and the tail is pulled in. The bottom is a subtle single concave to reverse vee off the tail with concave being deepest just behind the front foot. The rails are tucked ½" remaining hard up past the center of the board. The overall combination of concave, vee and rail rocker make for a board that holds excellent momentum down-the-line. At the same time providing forgiveness and looseness; the positive qualities you need mid-turn.
